About Abby Care
At Abby Care, we are dedicated to transforming the landscape of family caregiving, addressing one of the most pressing challenges of our era: providing support to family caregivers.
With over 60 million Americans serving as unpaid caregivers, our aim is to empower these individuals by offering training and employment opportunities, allowing them to receive compensation for the invaluable care they provide at home.
We are developing an innovative, AI-driven platform that prioritizes family-first care, aimed at enhancing health outcomes and ensuring a superior experience for users across the nation.
As we expand our mission, we seek passionate individuals to join our team. Abby Care collaborates with leading insurance providers, healthcare organizations, and community groups, backed by prominent, mission-focused venture capitalists. You will be part of an elite team of professionals with diverse backgrounds from companies such as Uber, Scale AI, DoorDash, Dropbox, Amazon, Meta, and more.
The Role
We are in search of a skilled and systems-oriented Product Designer to become our first in-house designer. Reporting directly to the Head of Product, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the delivery, management, and overall experience of care within our platform.
In this transformative role, you will design comprehensive user experiences across both web and mobile platforms for an array of stakeholders, including family caregivers, clinicians, and operators. You will confront complex, real-world challenges and significantly influence our product strategy and roadmap.
This is a full-time position based in San Francisco, CA, requiring in-person presence four days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end product design: You will manage the complete design process, from identifying problems and conducting user research to creating workflows, interaction designs, high-fidelity UI, and overseeing launch and iterative improvements. You will work autonomously while collaborating with product and engineering teams.
Develop systems and workflows: You will create robust, configurable systems that support intricate, multi-step workflows across various roles and interfaces. This encompasses information architecture, role-based permissions, statuses, lifecycles, and edge cases, prioritizing clarity and scalability over mere visual appeal.
Design for diverse users and contexts: You will craft experiences tailored for a variety of user scenarios, ensuring accessibility and usability across different platforms.
