Role Overview
The Product Development Researcher will play a vital role in the launch and enhancement of new products. This position operates at the crossroads of market research, consumer insights, trend analysis, and product strategy. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with product development, marketing, and leadership teams, thriving on deep research, understanding consumer behavior, and converting insights into actionable product strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive qualitative and quantitative research to support the development of new products.
- Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, pricing strategies, and positioning within the beauty and professional care sectors.
- Collect and synthesize customer insights through reviews, surveys, focus groups, social listening, and community feedback.
- Identify market gaps and emerging consumer needs to guide product ideation.
- Collaborate with internal teams to translate research findings into concise product briefs and actionable recommendations.
- Assist in validating product concepts through testing, feedback loops, and post-launch analysis.
- Monitor product performance and customer sentiment to guide future iterations and improvements.
- Maintain organized documentation of research findings for cross-functional accessibility.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in product research, consumer insights, market research, or product development, ideally within consumer goods, beauty, or lifestyle brands.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret data and identify trends and opportunities.
- Experience with both desk-based research and user-focused research methodologies.
- Comfortable working with diverse teams in a fast-paced, remote setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for presenting insights clearly.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
