Join our dynamic team as a Product Engineer specializing in Calypso with a premier banking client based in Dubai. We are seeking an individual who possesses a robust background in Calypso development, scripting, and integration, paired with a thorough understanding of treasury and capital markets products. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with front office, risk management, and operations teams to deliver high-performance, scalable solutions that meet complex business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain innovative solutions within the Calypso platform.
- Implement Calypso scripting, APIs, and customizations to enhance system functionality.
- Work in partnership with business stakeholders from the Front Office, Risk, and Operations departments.
- Oversee trade lifecycle management, encompassing trade capture, validation, settlement, and reporting.
- Develop and maintain integration frameworks utilizing REST APIs, FIX, and Kafka.
- Conduct pricing, valuation, and risk calculations to support business operations.
- Manage scheduled tasks, workflows, and engine configurations to ensure optimal system performance.
- Ensure stability and performance tuning of the system while addressing any issues that arise.
- Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and provide ongoing production support.
Required Skills & Experience
- A minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience with Calypso.
- In-depth understanding of Calypso architecture and core modules.
- Proficiency in Calypso APIs and scripting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Equity and Treasury products, including:
- FX / Money Market
- Bonds / Repo
- Interest Rate Swaps (IRS)
- Cross Currency Swaps (CCS)
- Credit Default Swaps (CDS)
- Strong grasp of trade lifecycle processes.
- Experience in settlement, accounting, reporting, workflows, and scheduling tasks.
- Hands-on experience with the Front Office module (Workstation, Pricing Sheet).
- Proficient in Core Java programming.
- Good experience with Oracle Database (SQL/PLSQL).
- Familiarity with REST API frameworks.
- Exposure to real-time integration patterns (FIX/Kafka).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Calypso Risk Modules (ERS, Limits).
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as SA-CCR, FRTB.
- Familiarity with the banking or financial services domain in the GCC region.
