The Role
We are seeking our inaugural Product Owner for Core Payments in London. This position is essential to our payments ecosystem, overseeing our infrastructure across various markets and payment systems, including cryptocurrencies. You will engage in partner negotiations and lead integration initiatives with engineers, blending strategic vision with technical execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with founders to develop and expand core payment products.
- Identify new opportunities, negotiate partnerships, and define integration scopes.
- Ensure the performance and operational efficiency of existing payment systems.
- Work alongside engineering, operations, legal, and compliance teams to deliver exceptional products.
- Monitor payment workflows post-launch, troubleshoot issues, and drive ongoing enhancements.
- Prioritize product initiatives to promote transaction growth and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
The successful candidate
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a high-growth fintech, consulting firm (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain), or investment banking.
- Strong analytical and quantitative abilities with comfort in data analysis and process evaluation.
- Highly motivated and ambitious, with a desire to evolve into leadership roles and eventually manage the Core Payments department.
- A proactive self-starter who excels in uncertain environments, taking ownership and guiding teams and partners towards successful outcomes.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with founders and cross-functional stakeholders.
