Job Summary:
The Production Manager will lead and manage a team responsible for executing all tasks necessary to produce a diverse array of products that meet our stringent quality standards. This role includes overseeing quality control measures to ensure product excellence and performing daily tasks such as preparation and packaging. The Manager is also responsible for upholding departmental standards in compliance with state regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of equipment and the processing facility in accordance with current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and standard operating procedures; ensure compliance with legal regulations and monitor the work environment.
· Oversee production activities by creating and reviewing the production schedule, clarifying specifications, calculating resource requirements, and assembling and accurately weighing materials and supplies.
· Coordinate daily operations of the production team to ensure adherence to established production specifications and timelines.
· Establish clear goals and performance metrics for team members.
· Develop and maintain systems for measuring various aspects of operational effectiveness.
· Manage departmental expenditures within budget parameters.
· Provide coaching, mentorship, and direction to staff, including administering disciplinary actions and addressing performance issues.
· Contribute to operational and strategic planning efforts.
· Develop and implement strategies for the team to achieve targets in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Productivity.
· Monitor production volume and quality, adjusting tasks as necessary to meet throughput targets.
· Conduct daily performance reviews of employees to ensure product quality and adherence to company standards.
