POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Production Cell Leader to spearhead a manufacturing cell, ensuring the achievement of production, quality, and safety objectives through optimal resource management, process adherence, and a strong focus on continuous improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promote a safe working environment by conducting routine safety inspections, enforcing safety protocols, documenting hazards and spills, and ensuring all team members are trained in safe work practices.
- Oversee daily production activities to ensure 100% in-station builds, meet efficiency and throughput targets, and align with the master production timeline.
- Enhance product quality by leading self-inspection initiatives, managing non-conforming materials, facilitating material reviews, and implementing corrective measures to address quality concerns.
- Drive quality improvement efforts by ensuring necessary tools, materials, and training are in place to achieve first-time builds and minimize rework.
- Coordinate production resources by managing staffing levels, cross-training team members, and scheduling overtime as needed to ensure uninterrupted production flow.
- Facilitate daily team meetings to review performance metrics, communicate priorities, assign corrective actions, and foster collaboration with departments such as Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Materials Management.
- Champion lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement projects by engaging in workplace organization activities, participating in process audits, and leading initiatives aimed at waste reduction and efficiency enhancement.
- Support technical processes including the implementation of engineering changes, pre-production planning, and liaising with other cells and departments to maintain a smooth workflow.
- Provide daily reports detailing production status, downtime, unexpected delays, recovery strategies, bus movement status, and necessary overtime to meet production targets.
- Manage personnel through regular stand-up meetings, addressing employee concerns, maintaining attendance records, conducting performance reviews, implementing disciplinary actions when necessary, and facilitating employee training and development.
- Collaborate with Human Resources on staffing and development initiatives.
