The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all production activities during the swing shift, ensuring adherence to established standard operating procedures. This role requires a dedicated on-site presence five days a week to facilitate effective supervision and coordination.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee production and pilot lines, efficiently scheduling personnel, materials, and equipment.*
• Manage work orders promptly, identifying and resolving any delays proactively.*
• Collaborate with the Planning team to mitigate issues with delayed work orders and prevent backorders.*
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing by implementing lean principles, coaching employees, and monitoring KPIs.*
• Actively participate in master schedule meetings, guiding the team to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production goals without compromising quality.
• Address and escalate production line issues as necessary.*
• Maintain strong process ownership, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders and collaborating with engineering on technical challenges.*
• Recruit, manage, and develop staff, setting objectives and providing ongoing feedback through performance reviews and development plans.*
• Engage with production, quality control, and process engineering departments to resolve production-related issues.*
• Prepare and review production reports and log history.*
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including wage and hour laws.
• Uphold the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) along with global quality standards and procedures.*
• Educate team members on QMS protocols and compliance regulations.*
• Perform other duties as assigned.
