About the job
- As a part-time Project Assistant, you will support Chemin's delivery team, collaborating closely with the Project Delivery Manager to ensure the smooth execution of German AI data annotation projects.
- You will be responsible for operational delivery and quality control, serving as the primary contact for German annotators. Given that the internal team is not proficient in German, this position is crucial for ensuring that submitted annotation results meet quality standards before delivery to clients.
- You will report to the Project Delivery Manager and actively participate in personnel management, process control, and quality assurance tasks throughout projects aimed at supporting AI development across industries.
Work Arrangement
- Fully remote or hybrid (optional to work in the Kuala Lumpur Tanjung Bungah office on Mondays and Fridays)
- Must be flexible to adjust to German time zones/work hours based on project coordination needs
- Minimum contract duration: 3 months (renewable based on performance)
- Immediate start required (target start date: February 2026)
Key Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include supporting the operations of the project delivery department, such as:
- Providing daily operational support to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of Taiwanese language projects
- Assisting in project setup, planning, and guideline development
- Managing and supporting a remote Taiwanese language annotation team
- Acting as a language quality gatekeeper for Taiwanese annotations, ensuring submission results meet accuracy and quality thresholds (goal: 95%)
- Guiding annotators through an internal communication platform to resolve queries and challenges
- Conducting detailed quality checks to identify language, formatting, and annotation errors before client submission
- Handling administrative tasks based on internal and client standards
- Maintaining clear communication with internal stakeholders regarding project progress, risks, and quality issues
Requirements
Qualifications
- Fluency in Taiwanese (native proficiency or TOCFL C-level certification required)
- Proficient in written and spoken English
- 0-2 years of experience in project management, operations, or personnel management (any job type is acceptable)
- Experience in task management, schedule control, or team coordination (work, internships, freelance projects, or extracurricular activities are all valid)
- Strong attention to detail, capable of accurately identifying language and annotation errors
- Self-motivated, quick learner, adaptable to a fast-paced project environment
- Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in guiding remote collaborators
- Proficient in Google Workspace, especially in spreadsheet functionalities

- Experience in data annotation, linguistics, or AI-related projects
- Background in linguistics, language studies, or related fields
- Previous employment in AI/data companies or competitive firms
- Proficiency in additional languages
