As a Project Controls Specialist - Cost Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial integrity and forecasting accuracy of our projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring the overall integrity of project budgets and forecasts, adhering to approved operational procedures.
- Providing quality assurance to College functional staff regarding financial tracking and cost performance.
- Conducting detailed cost variance analyses to identify trends and mitigate potential budget impacts.
- Overseeing the review and analysis of monthly cost and progress reports.
- Evaluating contract change orders and amendments to assess their impact on budgets and timelines.
- Ensuring the accuracy of financial sections in proposed Board Actions.
- Reviewing invoices for compliance and proper coding in relation to encumbrances.
- Assessing task order requests and change orders for budget availability and accurate cost coding.
- Collaborating with technical leads to address budget-related issues and conflicts.
- Implementing the District's policies and plans for cost management across capital projects with diverse funding sources.
- Providing responsive support to all College requests for financial information.
- Acting as the central point for all financial matters related to assigned College(s).
- Traveling to offsite project locations as necessary.
