About the job
Wajer Yachts is a renowned Dutch family-owned enterprise specializing in luxury yacht construction. Annually, we craft approximately 60 yachts ranging from 38 to 77 feet, with our operations extending to locations in Southern France, Ibiza, Mallorca, and Miami. Currently, our team comprises over 400 dedicated professionals, and since 2020, our revenue has tripled.
Our CEO, Dries Wajer (38), is driven by a passion for excellence and fosters an informal yet high-performance atmosphere, emphasizing quality, results, and innovation. We believe in prioritizing design over functionality, daring construction methods, and constantly raising the bar.
This year marks a significant milestone for us as we embark on our first super yacht project, exceeding 100 feet in length and boasting 3.5 times the volume of the Wajer 77. This project is being constructed under Bureau Veritas (BV) class registration, with the first aluminum hull expected to arrive at our Lemmer facility in 40 weeks.
As we venture into this new territory, we seek individuals with proven super yacht experience who understand how to operate under BV registration and effectively manage large-scale projects in series.
Your Role
In your capacity as Project Coordinator for Hull, you will oversee the entire hull domain of our inaugural super yacht. From the cutting package to final delivery at the yard, you will ensure the aluminum hull is completed to specifications, on schedule, and in compliance with BV requirements. You will report directly to the Operations Director and collaborate closely with coordinators in the Technology, Interior, Deck Equipment, and Paint departments.
Based in Lemmer, Wajer Super Yachts is where we construct our largest yachts. With the Wajer 77, we have demonstrated that high-level serial production is feasible, successfully scaling from 3.8 to 7 yachts per year within two years, employing modular techniques, a first-time-right philosophy, and a network of trusted co-makers.
Now, we are taking the next step forward. In 40 weeks, we expect the first hull of our super yacht to arrive, followed closely by the second, with each being 3.5 times the volume of the Wajer 77, initiated with two parallel build numbers.
Our core team of approximately 15 specialists will coordinate this process, and during peak periods, around 80 skilled workers will be present at the yard, primarily sourced from our established co-makers. You will be the driving force behind the hull domain, working collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure project success.
