POSITION SUMMARY
As a Project Manager at Orion Marine Group, you will play a vital role in steering project management initiatives. Your responsibilities include crafting bid packages, estimating project expenses, selecting vendors, and acquiring necessary materials and services. You will interpret project plans, organize work schedules, and oversee project execution while collaborating with team members to ensure successful project delivery. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the Project Management Team to drive the successful and profitable completion of marine construction projects.
- Provide comprehensive project management support and guidance to Superintendents and Foremen on active projects.
- Prepare and submit bid proposals for upcoming marine projects promptly.
- Facilitate contract negotiations and manage change orders as necessary.
- Accurately estimate costs for materials, services, labor, and other project-related expenses.
- Source materials and services from suppliers to meet project requirements.
- Interpret project specifications for clients, suppliers, and team members.
- Organize project activities to adhere to timelines for on-time completion.
- Act as a liaison among project personnel, vendors, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure a safe work environment for all team members and promote adherence to safety practices.
- Engage in Safety and Environmental initiatives to comply with regulations and enhance company programs.
- Possess the qualifications and physical ability to drive to job sites as needed.
