Join our Structural Engineering team at AFRY, where you will engage in diverse and challenging new construction and renovation projects within high-rise buildings, civil engineering, railway infrastructure, industrial construction, and energy production. PROJECT MANAGER FOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING (80-100%) - ZÜRICH
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead a variety of complex new build and renovation projects from planning through to commissioning.
- Design structural concepts and technical solutions for new constructions and renovations in collaboration with clients, architects, and specialists from various fields within AFRY.
- Address geotechnical challenges involved in the design and execution of excavations, foundation works, and terrain stabilization.
- Manage projects while adhering to cost, quality, and timeline objectives.
- Guide and technically support the project team.
- Assist department heads in acquiring new projects.
- Support the department manager in maintaining existing client relationships and developing new ones.

YOUR PROFILE:
- Completed studies in Civil Engineering (Diploma or Master's degree from ETH/FH/TU).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German.
- In-depth knowledge of statics/construction for reinforced concrete, steel, and timber structures, geotechnics, and foundation engineering, along with experience in relevant FEM calculation software (SOFiSTiK, AxisVM, CUBUS).
- Several years of project engineering experience as a project engineer or manager in structural engineering across all phases of design and implementation.
- A keen ability to design and realize efficient and economical structures using modern design tools.
- Strong motivation to plan and execute projects digitally, utilizing BIM methods and 3D coordination tools.
- A communicative, solution-oriented, client-focused, and entrepreneurial mindset.
