About the job
Join leisurepeople as a Project Manager focused on Sales Strategy and Customer Acquisition in London.
Our client, a leading player in the leisure industry with facilities nationwide, is seeking two skilled project managers to enhance their head office project team. This team is dedicated to evolving the business to implement an optimal commercial strategy that maximizes customer acquisition and drives sales through both direct customer interactions and automated processes.
This role involves examining the entire sales cycle, including infrastructure, systems, reporting processes, and staffing structures. You will need to consider significant regional factors such as the size and scope of facilities, competitive landscape, and local demographics. This presents a thrilling opportunity to shape a business-critical strategy that will influence the sales direction for the next five years.
We are looking for strategic thinkers with experience in similar project teams, particularly those analyzing routes to market in the dynamic bricks-and-clicks landscape of the leisure and hospitality sectors, including fitness, hotels, and potentially retail banking or major retail operations. The project will require in-depth analysis and research, necessitating collaboration with multiple operational stakeholders and head office teams, especially in digital, technology, and marketing.
We value innovative thinkers who can approach existing challenges with fresh perspectives through rigorous research, both externally and internally. A strong understanding of technology is essential, as is a deep comprehension of the customer journey across a diverse demographic, from young children learning to swim to loyal senior customers who appreciate genuine human interaction. Candidates should be adept at managing deadlines, thriving under pressure, and focused on delivering results.
Successful candidates can be based anywhere in the UK, ideally between London and Manchester. Regular travel to London (approximately twice a week) will be necessary, with travel and accommodation expenses covered. The position is offered as a fixed-term contract for six months, with a competitive remuneration package reflecting candidates' skills and experience.
Interviews are available immediately.
