As a Protective Services Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and guiding a dedicated team in providing essential case management services within the Family and Children’s Services Programs. You will be responsible for strategic planning, prioritizing tasks, reviewing casework, and actively participating in case management processes. This role is vital in ensuring that assessments and services are delivered effectively and in compliance with both federal and state regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Model accountability by ensuring compliance with Federal and State laws, and keep staff informed of relevant policy updates.
- Consult with team members regarding case management strategies, decisions, and court reports.
- Ensure consistency in assessments and case plans through the Integrated Core Practice Model (ICPM) and utilize designated tools effectively.
- Implement monitoring tools such as dashboards and data points to evaluate outcomes and casework effectiveness.
- Commit to the professional growth of team members by facilitating training, coaching, and leadership opportunities.
- Engage regularly with staff and stakeholders, including children, families, and community members, to foster understanding and collaboration.
- Conduct supervision meetings to review case fidelity to the ICPM and collaboratively develop solutions to enhance service delivery for children and families.
- Set performance standards and motivate staff to meet their goals by managing workload and promoting skill development.
- Lead performance discussions and implement progressive disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Involve staff in unit goal setting and system improvements through effective communication and collaboration.
- Support colleagues as needed, including overseeing other units and participating in team meetings.
- Assist caseworkers to ensure timely progress on cases.
- Provide management with insights regarding staff performance, resource needs, and staffing concerns.
- Build partnerships with community service providers to enhance service offerings for families.
- Compose necessary correspondence to stakeholders, including community members and fellow agency staff.
