Position Overview:
The Purchasing and Costing Analyst plays a pivotal role in managing division purchasing and pricing information processes, including costing, ensuring data accuracy, facilitating communication between field and trade partners, and developing comprehensive housing budgets. This position is fully on-site at our Columbus, OH office and is not eligible for remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the purchasing department with the processing of correspondence, data entry, and report preparation.
- Maintain and update house budgets in accordance with the weekly construction schedule.
- Manage change orders and adjust house budgets as necessary.
- Act as a liaison to address inquiries from the Purchasing Department and resolve issues between Trade Partners, Construction Managers, and Sales Teams.
- Assist in processing property tax reimbursements and bills.
- Contribute to month-end closing by adjusting costs and lot expenses.
- Ensure the division's costing data structure is efficient and effective.
- Collaborate with the Purchasing Manager to develop vendor bid criteria and formats for entry into the JDE database.
- Analyze vendor pricing with the Purchasing Manager and V.P. of Purchasing to ensure accuracy and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Review and revise option sale prices quarterly to uphold profit margins.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned by the Purchasing Manager.
