About the Role
The Quality Assurance Analyst will play a crucial role in executing quality assurance tasks within the Pharmacy Quality Assurance (QA) framework. Collaborating closely with the Pharmacist in Charge, this individual will ensure that operational practices adhere to regulatory standards while fulfilling business needs through proactive, efficient, and standardized quality processes.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the Quality Assurance Program, including:
- Conducting or assigning audits
- Reviewing and uploading documentation into the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Completing Nonconformance (NC) and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA) reports
- Aggregating and trending audit results, survey results, NCs, and CAPAs, along with preparing monthly presentations
- Preparing an annual summary quality meeting presentation
- Managing shipping temperature validations and conducting an annual mock recall
- Overseeing the testing program for compounded drugs and APIs
- Managing the compounded drug retain program
- Responding to temperature alerts in the monitoring software
- Maintaining Inspection Binders with updated SOPs and Pharmacy Documentation
- Supporting the Pharmacist in Charge during pharmacy inspections and identifying compliance gaps
- Training as a pharmacy technician to understand facility processes and assist in filling prescription orders
