The Quality Lead for the 2nd Shift plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity of our quality assurance processes. You will be responsible for testing product samples, analyzing and recording data results, and reporting any deviations from established standards and tolerances. Your expertise in methodologies such as Dunk Tank, Water Wall, CTQ, CFA, NDF, QC Flag Process, NCR, QPS, 5S, and Kaizen Continuous Improvement will be essential to our operations.
In this leadership position, you will oversee job assignment coverage and rotations for Quality Technicians during your shift. You will lead the QPS Root Cause 5 Whys analysis when defects are identified by 100% EOLI. Your quick identification of defect sources and implementation of corrective actions will be critical, including overseeing the rework of defective products and obtaining line startup approval from the Leadership Team.
You will conduct CTQ and CFA Audits using SafetyCulture on Tablet PC and train Quality Technicians and Operators to comply with No Defect Forward (NDF) standards. Additionally, you will be tasked with conducting Frame Weld Strength Testing as required, performing quality testing per AAMA specifications, and executing functional and fabrication checks as per standard practices.
It's imperative to report any issues that deviate from allowable tolerances and generate Non-Conforming Reports (NCR) using your Tablet PC. You will also research and compile data using SafetyCulture and Excel as needed. Utilizing the band saw to cut pieces for impact testing and weld strength testing will be part of your responsibilities.
You will perform 100% EOLI on vinyl lines, rotating to a different line every two weeks, and conduct Dunk Tank and Water Wall Tests. Collaborating with Leadership to determine the root cause of issues using the QPS 5 Whys quick problem-solving process will be a key aspect of your role. Maintaining cleanliness in your work area and executing other assigned duties will also be expected.
