As a Quantitative Research Analyst, you will be at the forefront of developing sophisticated trading strategies through advanced quantitative modeling, statistical analysis, and extensive datasets. Your role will encompass building resilient trading systems, conducting in-depth research, and delivering actionable insights to enhance investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement quantitative models and trading strategies to pinpoint promising investment opportunities.
- Perform backtesting to assess the robustness of strategies under various market conditions and generate comprehensive statistical reports.
- Gather, cleanse, store, and analyze large datasets from diverse sources, leveraging web scraping and alternative data to extract actionable insights.
- Conduct market risk assessments and identify the key drivers behind business performance and earnings.
- Collaborate with team members on development initiatives and operational tools within the trading division.
- Stay informed on the latest academic research, industry trends, and technological advancements in quantitative finance to enhance research methodologies and cultivate innovative investment concepts.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Physics, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Strong programming expertise in Python or similar statistical/quantitative software.
- Robust foundation in statistics, mathematics, and quantitative analytics.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with SQL and data visualization tools like Tableau is advantageous.
- Familiarity with the financial or investment sectors is a plus.
