Our innovative architecture is rooted in silicon photonics, leveraging advanced semiconductor manufacturing techniques in collaboration with industry leaders like GlobalFoundries. This approach allows us to employ high-volume processes that are already responsible for producing billions of chips for telecommunications and consumer electronics. Photonics inherently offers scalability advantages: photons are immune to heat, unaffected by electromagnetic interference, and compatible with existing cryogenic and fiber-optic infrastructures.
In 2024, PsiQuantum announced significant government-funded initiatives aimed at developing our first utility-scale quantum computers in Brisbane, Australia, and Chicago, Illinois. These projects underscore the growing acknowledgment of quantum computing's strategic and economic importance, emphasizing the urgency to scale our efforts.
