Join the City and County of San Francisco's Department of Public Health as a Radiologic Technologist. In this essential role, you will perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures across three levels of expertise. Your responsibilities will include:
Level I Responsibilities:
- Conducting general diagnostic procedures using various imaging equipment, including fixed and portable units.
- Applying radiation safety principles in compliance with all relevant standards, utilizing protective devices to ensure the safety of patients and yourself.
- Assessing patient conditions and ensuring their safety throughout imaging procedures, including monitoring equipment and addressing any issues promptly.
- Accurately documenting all procedures within the patient medical records and departmental logs.
- Transporting patients and assisting them during examinations.
- Scheduling imaging procedures and managing patient flow.
- Performing venipuncture, assisting with contrast media, and preparing medical instruments as required.
- Training student technologists in diagnostic imaging practices.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives within the department.
- Maintaining cleanliness and functionality of imaging equipment and procedure rooms.
- Assisting medical staff in resolving imaging-related queries.
Level II Responsibilities:
- Executing advanced diagnostic imaging procedures.
Level III Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee complex imaging operations.
