What is the Role?
The Real Estate Project Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing and executing real estate projects at SanMar. This position is responsible for managing a range of projects across various SanMar locations, including facility renovations and expansions. You will coordinate with vendors and contractors, and a solid understanding of design, construction, and building operations is essential. The Project Manager collaborates with internal teams and external partners to ensure that projects stay on schedule, meet stakeholder expectations, and align with corporate objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee real estate projects from inception to completion, adhering to established timelines and requirements.
- Work closely with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Coordinate efforts with vendors, contractors, Lake Washington Partners, and internal teams to ensure project success.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including schedules, design details, budgets, and status updates.
- Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Efficiently allocate resources to meet project milestones.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Track and report on key performance indicators related to real estate metrics and budget compliance.
- Suggest process improvements whenever opportunities arise.
- Provide timely updates on project status, including any challenges or risks encountered.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration within the project team.
- Travel up to 3-6 days per month to distribution centers or project sites.
- Perform other assigned duties as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Real Estate, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years of experience as a project manager, collaborating with business stakeholders on large, complex projects in a cross-functional environment.
- Strong understanding of real estate project planning, leasing, and construction project management.
