JOB PURPOSE
The primary objective of this role is to efficiently repair and maintain refrigeration and HVAC systems across various retail establishments, ensuring operational efficiency and minimizing product loss while delivering exceptional partner satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the maintenance of refrigeration and HVAC systems for multiple retail locations.
Conduct repairs on various equipment including compressors, water pumps, air handlers, and control devices, ensuring safety and efficiency to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Maintain effective communication with Site Management to keep them updated on all maintenance activities.
Collaborate with the Site Management team to communicate planned maintenance activities effectively, including diagnosing equipment issues and operational deficiencies to guarantee high-quality service delivery.
Timely provide all necessary job updates.
Proactively check for and repair refrigerant leaks.
Ensure all assigned assets are maintained to the highest standards.
Perform timely preventive maintenance checks on refrigeration/HVAC systems as assigned.
Monitor and log refrigerant usage in assigned stores.
Maintain cleanliness and safety in machine and electrical rooms.
Communicate with retail store personnel as needed to ensure the integrity of refrigerated products.
Participate in the company's on-call emergency response program after hours.
Assist in troubleshooting operational issues.
Complete assigned equipment inventories.
Perform additional job-related tasks as necessary.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Minimum Qualifications
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred experience with rack systems, display cases, and walk-in units.
Journeyman-level qualification in refrigeration and HVAC systems or equivalent experience.
EPA certification for refrigerant handling (Class I & II or Universal).
Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Ability to comprehend and follow English instructions.
Authorized to work in the United States or capable of obtaining authorization.
Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
Strong knowledge of supermarket rack refrigeration equipment.
