About the job
Our Mission
At Wave, we are committed to transforming Africa into the world's first cashless continent.
In 2017, more than half of the population in Sub-Saharan Africa were unbanked, primarily due to prohibitive fees, the distance to branches, and a lack of card acceptance. This exclusion forces individuals to hide their savings at home, while small businesses turn to high-interest lenders. Parents endure long queues to pay school fees in cash.
We are addressing these challenges by offering straightforward financial services: zero account fees, immediate availability, and widespread acceptance. In regions with unreliable electricity, water, and infrastructure, Wave enables seamless money transfers. Since launching our mobile app in Senegal in 2017 for cash deposits, withdrawals, and payments, we have rapidly expanded to millions of users across nine countries.
Join us as we work towards making Africa the first cashless continent!
