JOB CONTEXT:
The Middle East Regional Programme (MASHRIQ) coordinates efforts across four countries: Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, and Iraq. The region is expected to undergo significant changes soon.
The regional division encompasses the full mandate of HI, from emergency humanitarian action to development, with five main sectors of intervention: rehabilitation, education, early childhood development, basic needs/economic recovery, and armed violence reduction. Inclusion in humanitarian action is a fundamental aspect that crosses over these sectors and can also stand alone as an intervention. Following the events of October 7, 2023, the regional context has dramatically shifted, impacting not only Palestine (Gaza and the West Bank) but also surrounding countries.
YOUR MISSION:
As the Technical Head of Programme (THoP), reporting to the Country Director, you will define and guide HI's technical strategy in Palestine. As a vital member of the Senior Management Team (SMT), you will ensure that program design and implementation are needs-based, inclusive, technically robust, and aligned with HI’s global frameworks and sector standards.
You will spearhead the development of innovative, high-quality programming across sectors and collaborate closely with the Country Director, Operations Manager, MEAL, and Business Development teams.
In this role, you will lead a team dedicated to advancing HI's mission in the region.
