In this dynamic role, you will provide essential nursing care to patients experiencing acute health issues and injuries throughout their lifespan. Your advanced critical thinking skills and rapid assessment abilities will be key in managing complex clinical situations effectively and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Practice & Assessment: Employ the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation) to deliver safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered care.
- Emergency Interventions: Anticipate and manage potential complications while administering medications and treatments according to established protocols, monitoring for efficacy and side effects.
- Collaboration: Work closely with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate care plans that achieve optimal health outcomes.
- Documentation: Ensure accurate and prompt documentation of patient histories, symptoms, treatments, and responses in the medical record.
- Patient Education: Assess educational needs and provide critical information to patients and families regarding health management, discharge instructions, and community resources.
- Quality & Safety: Implement principles of quality and safety to enhance patient outcomes and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Professional Conduct: Demonstrate leadership, accountability, and adherence to ethical, legal, and regulatory standards in all interactions.
