International Health and Medical Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse Manager to lead our behavioral health nursing team in delivering exceptional healthcare services to patients. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with regulatory standards while managing daily operations and clinical issues, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes exemplary patient care and staff development.
- Oversee and provide direct supervision to nursing staff, ensuring all aspects of the behavioral health nursing program are effectively managed.
- Handle staff scheduling and coverage for absences, while developing and executing orientation and training programs for staff.
- Offer guidance and counseling to staff to enhance performance and adherence to clinical guidelines.
- Supervise patient care delivered by nursing staff, including nursing assistants and medical technicians.
- Plan, schedule, assign, and direct nursing care, evaluating efforts independently.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan patient care interventions, utilizing in-depth knowledge of patients’ physiological and psychological statuses.
- Regularly assess and revise patient treatment plans in coordination with the healthcare team.
- Review patient records to evaluate treatment progress and compliance with clinical guidelines.
- Promptly report significant changes in patient status to the appropriate medical providers.
- Engage with multidisciplinary treatment team members to discuss revisions to medical treatment plans.
- Act as a liaison, maintaining collaborative relationships with various healthcare disciplines.
- Conduct in-service training sessions on nursing and behavioral health care improvement.
- Coordinate nursing care with other onsite staff and manage the treatment and transport of acutely ill or injured patients as necessary.
- Lead the orientation and training of new nursing personnel on protocols and patient population specifics.
- Provide health education and counseling to reinforce protocol adherence.
- Collaborate with the team to analyze protocol practices and identify areas for improvement.
- Perform Registered Nurse duties as needed to support the agency's mission.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of diverse nursing concepts, principles, and practices essential for conducting nursing assessments across various specialties including mental health and emergency care.
