Our Ozark, Missouri location is actively seeking a Registered Professional Land Surveyor to enhance our team.
Position Summary:
We are in search of a licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to contribute to our expanding civil engineering practice. This role entails supervising and executing land surveying tasks for diverse public and private sector initiatives, including boundary, topographic, ALTA, and construction surveys. The ideal candidate will be meticulous, proficient in contemporary surveying technology, and dedicated to producing superior results that facilitate engineering and development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and conduct land surveying services for civil engineering projects.
- Lead and manage field crews, ensuring accurate and efficient data collection.
- Prepare and assess plats, legal descriptions, and survey drawings in alignment with state and local regulations.
- Perform boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS land title, right-of-way, and construction staking surveys.
- Interpret construction plans and engineering documents to direct survey operations.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify project requirements and deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with professional standards and relevant laws.
- Review and validate final survey documents with PLS stamp and signature.
Qualifications:
- Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license.
- Minimum of 5 years of land surveying experience, including field crew leadership.
- Expertise in survey software and equipment (e.g., Trimble, Leica, AutoCAD Civil 3D).
- Strong understanding of surveying principles, legal codes, and industry standards.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a civil engineering consulting environment.
- UAS/Drone certification with experience in aerial mapping is advantageous.
- Familiarity with GIS and 3D modeling technologies.
