About the Role
We are on the lookout for a Accounting Team Lead to become an integral part of our Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of analysts to guarantee the accuracy and timeliness of their work, ensuring compliance with our 10-business-day closing deadline. The role also requires the ability to independently assess the appropriate accounting treatment for new transactions as they arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes and financial reporting.
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and maintain General Ledger accuracy.
- Lead accounting team members by assigning tasks, reviewing work, and providing guidance on complex issues.
- Utilize technical accounting expertise to evaluate new transactions and determine appropriate accounting treatment in accordance with GAAP.
- Prepare financial reports and special management reports.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal policies.
- Identify process inefficiencies and implement control enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Treasury, Operations, and IT.
- Coordinate with auditors and manage audit deliverables.
