About The Role
We are in search of a highly technical Paid Search and YouTube Manager who excels in capturing intent, performing granular data analysis, and applying scientific principles to marketing strategies. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in bringing our SEM and YouTube functions in-house, taking charge of these vital high-intent channels to facilitate our growth.
You will collaborate closely with the Director of Paid Media to manage, execute, and optimize campaigns across Google (Search & YouTube) and Microsoft (Bing). This position requires a curious and inquisitive mindset—one that does not simply accept the status quo or depend solely on automated bidding strategies. Instead, you will delve into Search Query Reports to uncover the underlying reasons for performance outcomes. Transparency is essential; you will share work queues and insights throughout the process to ensure cohesive alignment.
Key Responsibilities
Own Campaign Execution: Take full responsibility for the setup, management, and optimization of campaigns across Google Ads (Search, YouTube, Discovery/Demand Gen) and Microsoft Ads. You will lead the transition of these responsibilities from our current agency partners.
Master Intent & Keywords: Diligently manage the keyword strategy. Move beyond basic broad match dependencies to develop comprehensive negative keyword lists, organize high-intent ad groups, and enhance Quality Scores for improved efficiency.
Drive YouTube Performance: Treat YouTube as a direct-response performance channel. Collaborate with the creative team to refine video hooks, pacing, and CTAs based on retention rates and conversion data rather than mere view counts.
Scientific A/B Testing: Conduct rigorous A/B testing of headlines, ad copy, and landing pages to identify optimal strategies for performance enhancement.
