Software Engineer in Test – Remote (US West)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Software Engineer in Test to join our dynamic QA automation team. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to ensuring the quality of products used in high-profile live events, including sports, music, and reality television, as well as file-based media workflows. Your work will help us maintain our status as an industry leader while working closely with developers to integrate quality from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable automated test frameworks.
- Create tools for test execution, evaluation, and reporting.
- Manage CI/CD infrastructure to enable automated testing.
- Conduct and automate various testing types including functional, performance, and end-to-end tests.
- Develop automated test suites to ensure swift product releases with minimal regression risk.
- Utilize code coverage and analysis tools to identify testing gaps and enhance coverage.
- Document and track defects while analyzing root causes and verifying fixes.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to troubleshoot complex issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network and Digital Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an automated testing role within a technology organization.
- Proficient in object-oriented programming, design patterns, and relational databases.
- Familiar with digital media workflows, including video streaming and subtitling.
- Experience with Git for version control and collaboration.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems that support automated testing pipelines.
Additional Requirements:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C# and TypeScript.
- Experience with frontend test automation tools like Selenium or Playwright.
- Familiarity with broadcast and media processing technologies.
