We are seeking a highly experienced expert in defence and the defence industry, particularly knowledgeable about the Dutch and European defence landscape, R&D, and military capability development. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in business development, leading proposals, managing research projects, and effectively representing RAND in public and media relations.
The Defence, Security, and Justice (DSJ) research group at RAND conducts a diverse range of research projects for clients in the UK, Europe, and beyond. Our Dutch clients include the Ministry of Defence, armed forces, and the NCTV, while our international clientele comprises European institutions (such as the Defence and Space Directorate General of the European Commission, the European Defence Agency, and the European Parliament), national governments, international defence and security organizations (e.g., NATO), and various humanitarian organizations.
As part of our strategy to expand our operations in the Netherlands, we are looking for a seasoned researcher to manage and enhance our Defence portfolio. This position involves leading business development and project execution, making it essential for candidates to have experience in securing, designing, and executing projects within the Netherlands.
