Position Overview
The Reservations Agent plays a crucial role in optimizing our hotel's booking process, guaranteeing seamless and efficient reservation experiences for our guests. This role involves addressing inquiries, processing bookings, and providing accurate information, all while maximizing occupancy and revenue. The successful candidate will deliver outstanding customer service by responding promptly and professionally to guest inquiries, accurately processing reservations, and offering personalized recommendations. They will ensure that guests' initial interactions with our hotel are positive and informative, significantly contributing to their overall satisfaction and loyalty.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently manage incoming reservations through multiple channels (phone, email, online platforms) with precision.
- Input and update reservation details in our booking system, ensuring all information is accurate and complete.
- Modify reservations as required, handling cancellations, amendments, and special requests with care.
- Resolve reservation-related issues, such as booking errors and guest dissatisfaction, in a timely and professional manner.
- Verify upcoming arrivals to ensure accurate recording of reservation details, including comments and time of arrival and departure.
- Process credit card charges for future arrivals.
- Maintain accurate records of down payments for individual guests.
- Organize and file reservation lists efficiently.
Customer Service & Communication
- Deliver prompt, courteous, and professional service to guests, addressing inquiries and concerns effectively.
- Offer personalized recommendations based on guest preferences, fostering a positive booking experience.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments (front desk, housekeeping, sales) to ensure seamless guest service.
