The Role
We are seeking an experienced aged care professional to join our dedicated team as a Residential Aged Care Funding (AN-ACC) Assessor. In this role, you will visit aged care facilities to conduct assessments using the Australian National Aged Care Classification (AN-ACC) assessment tool. This position will primarily serve the Bundaberg area and will involve travel across the Wide Bay aged care planning region (ACPR) to assess residents on behalf of the Department of Health, Disability, and Ageing. Some visits may necessitate overnight stays for more remote facilities.
We provide extensive training and support, so prior knowledge of the AN-ACC assessment tool is not required. Candidates with experience as AN-ACC assessors or those who have received training in this area will be viewed favorably.
What We Offer:
- Attractive salary of $107,201 per annum plus 12% superannuation (FTE)
- Part-time position (0.6 or 0.8 FTE) on a 12-month fixed-term contract
- Program hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM
- Comprehensive training on the application of the new assessment tool
- Provision of all necessary technical equipment, including a laptop and phone
- Reimbursement for travel expenses
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN), Physiotherapist, or Occupational Therapist (OT) within the aged care sector
- Current and unrestricted AHPRA registration
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Flexible mindset with the ability to adapt to changing environments
- Willingness to travel to regional or remote facilities
- Capability to work independently within a diverse, widely distributed team
- Compliance with the Department of Health, Disability, and Ageing Vaccination requirements
