Job Summary:
The Restaurant General Manager plays a pivotal role in steering the daily operations of a KFC restaurant, ensuring alignment with the brand's vision and mission while exemplifying KFC's core values. This position involves overseeing product preparation, customer service, facility maintenance, and financial management. The General Manager achieves these objectives by actively recruiting, training, and mentoring top talent (A+) to drive key results in people, customer satisfaction, sales, and profitability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
People:
- Exemplify KFC’s core values while nurturing high-performing teams by effectively selecting, training, retaining, and recognizing exceptional talent.
- Identify and nurture a talent pipeline through effective succession planning and best practices, ensuring a robust leadership team.
- Implement the Performance Management process consistently to set employees up for success and uphold accountability.
- Foster a culture of trust and transparency by upholding the “Open Door” Policy among all employees.
- Collaborate with the People Services Team to address employee relations issues and ensure legal compliance within the restaurant.
- Conduct regular team meetings to share business updates, celebrate achievements, and promote team collaboration.
- Facilitate training programs that enhance employee skills in customer service, food safety, and operational procedures.
- Evaluate employee performance and provide constructive feedback to encourage professional development.
Customer:
- Develop and manage staffing schedules to ensure coverage during all operational hours.
- Promote a customer-centric culture by serving as a role model in resolving complex customer issues and training employees to meet or exceed service standards.
- Coach and hold team members accountable for adhering to core operational procedures, ensuring excellence in service.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards through direct observation and follow-up, guaranteeing management teams are trained in ServSafe or equivalent standards.
- Collect and analyze customer feedback to identify areas for improvement in service and product offerings, developing actionable plans to address concerns.
- Foster an inclusive and welcoming environment for all customers.
