ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Restaurant Shift Leader plays a pivotal role in supporting the General Manager with daily operations, and takes charge in the absence of the General Manager. This leadership position requires a vibrant team player who embodies the Wingstop culture, is enthusiastic about hard work, enjoys a dynamic work environment, and is genuinely committed to the brand's success. Each team member is integral to promoting Wingstop's mission to 'Serve the World Flavor!'
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Team Leadership: Assist the General Manager in timely and effective recruitment and staffing. Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for both team members and guests. Foster a culture of respect, recognition, and reward within the restaurant. Collaborate effectively with the Wingstop team and provide support across various roles as needed.
Guest Engagement: Maintain a warm and positive demeanor while interacting with guests. Welcome all guests promptly (within 3-5 seconds) and ensure they have an exceptional experience at Wingstop. Address all orders and inquiries professionally and friendly, while immediately reporting any guest issues to the General Manager. Resolve minor guest complaints efficiently with a positive attitude.
Financial Oversight: Manage cash, property, products, and equipment while driving sales and controlling labor and food costs.
Operational Excellence: Uphold high operational standards and report maintenance issues to the Facilities Department. Maintain facilities in compliance with Wingstop's standards and ensure effective communication throughout the organization from the General Manager to all team members. Utilize company resources to mentor and develop team members, ensuring a high-performing restaurant team.
