This role is a 12-month fixed term contract for maternity cover.
As a Restaurant Supervisor at Mauro Colagreco, you will play a critical role in ensuring exceptional guest service and overseeing daily operations. Your responsibilities will encompass maintaining high standards from the moment guests arrive until they depart, while also leading a team of waitstaff to ensure seamless service.
In this position, you will also serve as the primary communication link between the kitchen and the dining area, while supporting various team members, such as hostesses and baristas. Additionally, you will actively gather guest feedback and relay any requests to management.
Key Responsibilities
Operations
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of the menu and all offerings at Mauro Colagreco Restaurants.
- Promptly and accurately deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests' tables, providing detailed explanations of each dish.
- Act as the liaison between Front of House and Back of House teams.
- Assist waitstaff with table setups by organizing necessary tableware and utensils.
- Communicate dish details to guests in a knowledgeable and professional manner.
- Check in on guests, taking additional orders or refilling water as requested by senior staff.
- Manage the serving of food and the removal of used dishes and utensils.
- Ensure that all food is served according to safety and quality standards.
- Provide restaurant staff with customer feedback and special requests.
- Commit to daily sustainable practices regarding waste management and procurement.
- Assume additional responsibilities in the absence of the line manager or senior staff.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned, including working in different departments or restaurants as needed.
Health and Safety
- Report and rectify any potential or actual hazards immediately.
- Be well-versed in departmental Fire, Emergency, and Bomb procedures.
- Ensure the safety of all individuals and property on-site by adhering to laws and anticipating potential hazards.
- Promote a culture of health and safety awareness within the department.
