The City of New York is seeking motivated applicants for the position of Revenue Analyst, a critical role within the Office of Fiscal Operations. Candidates must hold permanent status as an Associate Staff Analyst in civil service or possess a comparable title eligible for a 6.1.9 title change.
As a Revenue Analyst, you will conduct extensive research and analysis in accordance with directives from the New York City Comptroller’s Office and utilize the Financial Management System to manage accounts receivable, cash receipts, and control revenue clearance. Our Division of Revenue Control and Analysis (DRCA) guarantees compliance with the Comptroller’s guidelines, ensuring accurate revenue recording, and complete reimbursement tracking.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Maintaining aged open billed receivables by revenue source and generating cash receipt reports from postings in the City’s Financial Management System (FMS).
- Analyzing the settlement of Federal and State claims for reimbursements, performing reconciliations between aged open billed receivables and claims settlements from various agencies.
- Creating clearance forms and facilitating revenue realization for all settlements related to open billed receivables submitted to the NYC Comptroller’s Office.
- Preparing monthly transfers to other agencies for claims filed on their behalf, ensuring accurate record updates.
- Reconciling open billed receivables with claims settlement tracking and addressing discrepancies with the Division Director.
- Developing and maintaining detailed analytic reports of funds received and outstanding balances for audits conducted by governmental and private entities.
- Liaising with the Comptroller’s Office, Office of Budget Administration (OBA), Bureau of Claims & Reimbursement (BCR), and participating in all relevant Division activities as needed.
This position is located at 4 WTC/150 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007, with a standard work schedule from 9 AM to 5 PM.
