Position Overview
ENSCO, Inc., within the Mission Systems Group (MSG), is looking for a skilled RHEL Systems Administrator (Cameo Administrator). The successful candidate will oversee the monitoring and maintenance of Cameo systems, ensuring the integrity and accessibility of all server resources, hardware, and key processes. Responsibilities include developing and documenting technical standards and procedures and supporting the engineering team in various administrative and solution-oriented tasks. The Systems Administrator will monitor system health and performance to ensure high availability and contribute to overall product quality by collaborating closely with project managers and government technical leads to utilize essential tools for file handling, directory management, command-line operations, and documentation.
The role also entails configuring and troubleshooting user profile issues within a virtual desktop environment, optimizing system storage on virtual desktops, and managing user sessions and profiles. The Administrator will provide technical support to a large user community, offering expertise in accessing and utilizing the Cameo system, while effectively communicating technical considerations to external system partners and assisting with user role management. Close collaboration with information systems security and engineering teams will be necessary to ensure proper software versioning, scanning, patching, and compliance with ATO/accreditation standards. The administrator will maintain a detailed backlog of work products in JIRA and will work with project management to update senior leadership on project status during Agile ceremonies.
