The Rheumatology Regional Marketing Manager (RMM) will collaborate extensively with various cross-functional teams at AbbVie to ensure effective teamwork, strategic alignment, and the successful formulation and execution of marketing strategies within the region. In this dynamic field-based role, you will be instrumental in optimizing national and regional marketing initiatives, ensuring they align with our Annual Strategic Brand Plans.
The RMM will serve as the representative of AbbVie’s Marketing team, engaging with External Experts to foster insights generation within the defined geographical area. Furthermore, you will work within a collaborative team environment to enhance brand performance across AbbVie’s Rheumatology portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Marketing
- Lead projects through the promotional review process diligently and compliantly, ensuring high-quality deliverables are met on time while adhering to regulatory guidelines and AbbVie’s internal processes.
- Oversee the strategy, execution, and budgeting for national and regional conventions, External Expert consulting, advisory boards, and peer-to-peer commercial education initiatives.
- Continuously assess and apply insights regarding key marketing tactics, providing strategic recommendations to leadership for brand optimization opportunities.
- Deliver detailed insights based on critical business questions to influence marketing strategies, resource allocation, and tactics that elevate brand performance.
- Foster partnerships with field leadership within the assigned geography to enhance the implementation of marketing strategies.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, provider dynamics, and competitive intelligence for the assigned region.
- Coordinate the efforts and deliverables of multiple external vendors and internal departments, including Agency Partners, Marketing, Market Research, Legal, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Ethics and Compliance, and IT.
Thought Leader Engagement
- Identify and cultivate commercial relationships with External Experts, emerging leaders, and relevant patient and professional organizations within the region.
- Create regional engagement plans for External Experts and ensure consistent tactical execution throughout the year to drive key marketing interactions.
- Exhibit a thorough understanding of external and internal motivators across multiple stakeholder groups, effectively connecting AbbVie’s Integrated Brand Teams on collaborative opportunities aligned with industry standards.
