They are on the lookout for a Road Bike Components Buyer who is not only an enthusiastic road cyclist but also possesses a profound understanding of the cycling industry. In this role, you will leverage your cycling passion and component expertise to make informed purchasing decisions that align with the shop's needs and delight its customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research, evaluate, and select high-quality road bike components from various suppliers.
- Stay updated on cycling trends, technological advancements, and market demands.
- Negotiate favorable pricing and terms with suppliers to secure the best possible deals for the shop.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the inventory management team.
- Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to ensure purchasing decisions align with promotional efforts.
- Collect feedback from customers and staff regarding product quality and performance.
- Analyze sales data to predict demand and make strategic purchasing choices.
Requirements
• A strong passion for road cycling coupled with extensive knowledge of bike components.
• Prior experience in purchasing, procurement, or buying within the cycling or sporting goods sector.
• Exceptional negotiation skills and vendor management experience.
• Proficient in data analysis and trend forecasting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
