Roadway Project Engineer
We are thrilled to offer a career opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our Civil Roadway team in Glastonbury! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil transportation design and extensive knowledge of roadway projects, with a focus on developing plans that comply with local DOT standards.
Location
This position will be based in our Glastonbury office with a hybrid work schedule.
The Impact You Will Have
- Collaborate closely with senior staff to successfully deliver transportation projects.
- Work independently within a design team to implement project work plans.
- Take responsibility for budgets and schedules as outlined by the Project Manager.
- Mentor and guide junior staff members.
- Engage with clients, agencies, and other stakeholders involved in projects.
What You Will Need
- A minimum of 4 years of progressive civil transportation design experience.
- Licensed PE in the state of Connecticut or eligible to obtain licensure through comity within one year.
- B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Experience collaborating with public agencies, private entities, and/or municipalities.
- Demonstrated experience in developing plans, specifications, and submissions in accordance with DOT standards.
- Exceptional communication and client relation skills.
- Strong organizational skills with a proven track record of adhering to design budgets and schedules.
- Proficiency in OpenRoads Designer.
- Ensure compliance with project CADD standards.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
