Role Overview:
This operational role is designed for experienced individual contributors tasked with developing Visa rules while evaluating the downstream impacts of business proposals related to new or modified products, systems, services, programs, or other initiatives. Ensuring compliance with regulatory and strategic objectives is essential.
Key responsibilities include spearheading the development and approval of waivers to the Visa Charter Documents, Visa Core Rules, Product and Service Rules, and associated Supplemental Requirements, all while adhering to global payment system laws.
Working independently with limited supervision, you will navigate complex business initiatives, assessing their effects on the broader ecosystem.
Essential Duties:
The successful candidate will oversee the development and approval of waivers, ensuring all materials meet departmental quality standards before submission to the Visa Rules Committee. Responsibilities include guiding business functions and clients through the waiver process, obtaining necessary approvals from other Visa Committees, and maintaining thorough documentation.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Managing multiple moderate to complex rule waiver topics with business sponsors, prioritizing effectively, and guiding staff across various Visa functions.
- Developing new and revised Visa rules.
- Overseeing waivers through the approval process, providing updates to business sponsors and clients during reviews.
- Offering advice and interpretation on regulatory matters outlined in the Visa Rules.
- Reviewing Visa Business News articles prior to release, as needed.
- Communicating waiver approvals to affected clients.
