Role Summary
As a Sales Associate and Store Driver, you will play a vital role in supporting our DIY automotive business, helping to meet sales objectives while providing exceptional customer service. This entry-level position requires a fundamental understanding of store systems, basic automotive knowledge, and familiarity with parts sourcing from various suppliers. Knowledge of inventory management and maintenance processes will also be beneficial. This position offers flexibility, with options for part-time or full-time schedules, and a fleet safety certification is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service during in-store visits and phone interactions.
- Meet personal and team sales targets.
- Perform DIY services such as battery installations and wiper replacements.
- Uphold store standards for product presentation and operational efficiency.
- Manage inventory tasks including stock put-aways and cycle counts.
Additional Duties
- Ensure store cleanliness, including restrooms and stock areas.
- Assist with general stocking tasks.
- Safely deliver automotive parts to customers as required.
Success Factors
- Competency in driving and navigation.
- Friendly and effective communication skills.
- Ability to locate and stock automotive parts efficiently.
- Knowledge of safety practices in a retail environment.
- Experience with POS and inventory systems.
- Skills in using automotive diagnostic and testing equipment.
Essential Skills
- Proficient in English (Spanish is a plus) with strong communication skills.
- Able to read and interpret safety guidelines, operational manuals, and parts catalogs.
- Basic mathematical skills for accurate transactions.
- Flexible availability for various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Experience
- 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a retail environment focused on customer satisfaction.
