Role Summary: Sales Associate/Store Driver
We seek a motivated individual for an entry-level Sales Associate position that supports our Do-It-Yourself (DIY) customers and contributes to achieving our sales and service targets. This role requires familiarity with store systems, basic automotive systems, and inventory management, along with the ability to source products effectively from various suppliers. An understanding of fleet safety procedures is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service during DIY customer interactions, whether in-person or via phone.
- Meet personal sales goals and assist the store in reaching its overall sales objectives.
- Provide DIY services including battery installations, testing, and windshield wiper replacements.
- Uphold product and operational standards within the store.
- Manage inventory processes, including product receiving and stock maintenance.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including floors, restrooms, and display areas.
- Assist with stocking duties, including organizing products received from deliveries.
- Safely deliver automotive parts to customers when required.
Success Factors:
- Basic driving skills and navigation abilities.
- Proficiency in using delivery systems.
- Strong communication skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to locate and manage parts inventory.
- Knowledge of safety practices in the workplace.
- Experience operating inventory management systems and store equipment.
- Understanding of automotive systems and parts.
- Skillful use of point-of-sale and parts lookup systems.
- Proficient in using diagnostic equipment for DIY services.
Essential Skills for Success:
- Proficient in English (Spanish is a plus); capable of building strong relationships with customers and team members.
- Able to read and interpret safety guidelines, operating instructions, and parts manuals.
- Competent in basic math skills for accurate transactions.
- Flexible availability to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends.
Preferred Experience:
- 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a retail environment, focusing on delivering outstanding customer experiences.
