Role Summary: Sales Associate and Store Driver
As a Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting our DIY customers by delivering exceptional sales and service experiences. This entry-level position requires a foundational understanding of automotive systems and store operations, as well as the ability to assist customers with their needs efficiently. This position can be offered on a part-time or full-time basis, with a preference for candidates holding a fleet safety certification.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service during in-store visits and over the phone.
- Meet and exceed personal sales targets while assisting the store in achieving overall sales objectives.
- Perform DIY services such as battery installations, testing, and wiper replacements.
- Ensure compliance with store product and operational standards.
- Manage inventory processes including truck unloading, cycle counts, and back stock management.
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including floors, restrooms, and parking areas.
- Assist with general stocking duties and ensure efficient back stock management.
- Safely deliver parts to customers when required.
Success Factors
- Basic driving and navigation skills.
- Ability to effectively utilize delivery board systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in locating and stocking parts.
- Knowledge of safety practices and protocols.
- Experience in operating inventory systems and store equipment.
- Familiarity with automotive systems and parts.
- Capable of using POS and parts lookup systems efficiently.
- Expertise in diagnostic equipment for DIY services.
Essential Skills for Success
- Proficient in English (Spanish is a plus); able to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Adept at reading and interpreting documents such as safety instructions and procedure manuals.
- Strong mathematical skills for everyday calculations.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Experience
- 2-3 years of experience in a retail sales environment, demonstrating the ability to provide excellent customer experiences.
