About the job
Unimacts Global is an innovative and rapidly growing contract manufacturing and supply chain platform dedicated to supporting vital infrastructure sectors such as energy, renewables, and industrial manufacturing. With a presence across North America, Europe, and Asia, we cater to clients who demand agility, operational excellence, and a global perspective.
Role Overview
We are in search of a seasoned Sales Development Representative (SDR) with a deep understanding of the procurement process in the manufacturing sector. This position is not suited for those new to outbound sales; instead, we seek an individual who can engage confidently with procurement managers, plant engineers, and supply chain directors, establishing credibility swiftly.
This role involves a structured three-month engagement focused on outbound prospecting, generating qualified meetings, and developing a robust RFQ pipeline across Unimacts' core offerings in the Detroit metropolitan area. The role requires onsite work on a fixed part-time schedule, with clear output expectations set from day one.
Your Responsibilities
Outbound Prospecting
- Conduct 40-60 outbound communications daily through cold calls and emails to targeted manufacturing and industrial organizations.
- Identify and engage with key decision-makers in procurement, engineering, and supply chain relevant to Unimacts' product lines.
- Leverage your expertise in manufacturing to unlock opportunities that generic SDRs may miss.
- Accurately document all outreach efforts, call outcomes, and prospect insights using CRM tools.
Meeting Qualification and Scheduling
- Assess leads based on established criteria: need, timing, fit, buying intent, and routing rules.
- Arrange qualified meetings for Business Unit Sales Managers while ensuring logistics are confirmed to minimize no-shows.
- Provide succinct call notes and context briefings to prepare sales leaders for meetings.
RFQ Pipeline Development
- Identify opportunities ready for RFQ and facilitate a seamless handoff to the appropriate Business Unit sales owner.
- Collect initial technical and commercial requirements to expedite RFQ readiness.
- Monitor RFQ-related activities and outcomes for engagement metrics.
Reporting and Operational Discipline
- Submit weekly activity and outcome reports aligned with defined engagement metrics.
- Adhere to established qualification workflows to ensure consistent measurement across SDR roles.
- Provide constructive feedback to sales leadership regarding messaging effectiveness and target strategies.
