KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Adhere to all protocols associated with Tyler Union's Safety Management Program and promptly inform management of any deviations.
- Engage with city engineers and specification officials nationwide, supporting Territory Managers and independently focusing on major national firms.
- Develop robust relationships with engineers and officials to enhance collaboration.
- Join the American Water Works Association (AWWA) and attend relevant meetings as schedules permit.
- Participate in National, State, and Local code meetings and conferences to stay informed of industry developments.
- Establish yourself as the authoritative resource for all Tyler Union products, addressing design, installation, and product inquiries related to fittings, gaskets, restraints, and specialty products within the engineering and code community.
- Advocate for the use of domestic materials through specifications and training sessions.
- Deliver informative presentations to engineering and specification groups, and coordinate Lunch & Learn sessions with the assistance of Territory Managers.
- Accompany Territory Managers on engineering and specification visits to enhance their understanding of the environment.
- Maintain a comprehensive contact list of major engineering firms and code enforcement agencies in the region, ensuring accurate entry into the CRM system.
- Provide field support for troubleshooting on job sites.
- Assist in product complaint investigations as required.
- Report on projects and bids throughout the planning, pre-design, design, and pre-bid phases.
- Submit relevant and assigned Sales Reports.
- Promote products and specifications through training sessions and involvement with various trade associations.
- Create and submit technical papers and presentations for trade association events.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of Sales New Hire Training programs.
- Deliver technical training to new sales hires through hands-on experiences, jobsite visits, and classroom instruction.
- Participate in all technical training programs related to sales.
- Plan sales calls and activities a minimum of two weeks in advance using Outlook Calendar, with flexibility to adjust travel plans as necessary due to unforeseen circumstances.
- Maintain accurate records of calls, activities, and pursuits in the CRM system.
- Make an average of ten sales calls each week.
- Submit weekly expense reports.
- Engage in prospecting, customer development, and lead generation efforts.
