Introduction to the Accountancy Team at S&W Group
As a member of our Business Outsourcing Services team, you will engage with clients and their finance teams or bookkeepers, assisting them with year-end accounts, management accounts, bookkeeping, VAT returns, and support for cloud accounting software. Your contributions will provide essential services, advice, and solutions that truly make a difference. Additionally, you will gain valuable exposure to working alongside partners, enhancing your experience and building your confidence with senior staff members.
You’ll acquire essential client experience, developing the knowledge and skills necessary to become a trusted business advisor. Alongside your practical work, you will receive exceptional professional training while pursuing the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) and Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualifications, equipping you with a comprehensive understanding of the technical aspects of audit, accountancy, and further financial advisory services.
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Collaborating within a team to deliver a variety of services including statutory accounts, bookkeeping, management accounts, VAT returns, software implementation, and system 'health-checks.'
- Progressing quickly within the team, assuming responsibilities from an early stage, and by your second year, helping to supervise new trainees.
- Engaging in ad-hoc assignments requested by clients, such as one-off software implementation projects or client secondments to support their finance functions.
- Receiving internal training from our professional services learning and development team to enhance your skills.
This role is designed for those seeking to thrive in a dynamic, client-facing environment while developing the competencies needed to become a trusted business advisor. You will also be studying towards the AAT and ACCA professional qualifications, honing essential skills that are highly valued in the professional services sector.
