Join our dynamic culinary team as a Cook I at Zhen Bang Noodle, where you will have the opportunity to create and serve a diverse array of delicious meals. As a Cook I, you will prepare, cook, and present both hot and cold dishes from scratch, ensuring adherence to our recipes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and health standards established by Ocean Casino and regulatory agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food to order based on recipes and direction from chefs and managers.
- Execute ala carte, banquet, catering, and buffet-style service with precision.
- Deliver exceptional food quality and service to guests both on-site and at external events.
- Interpret food orders and prepare dishes accordingly, ensuring presentation meets our high standards.
- Demonstrate proficiency in various cooking techniques including sautéing, grilling, frying, braising, and more.
- Utilize kitchen equipment effectively, including ovens, grills, fryers, and mixers.
- Understand and apply proper cooking temperatures across all food types as per guests' requests and safety standards.
- Work autonomously with minimal supervision while maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support kitchen operations.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to read and adapt recipes based on production needs.
- Capacity for prolonged standing and walking.
- Occasional lifting of heavy carts and food items up to 50 lbs.
