At Soho House, the Host stands as the first point of contact for our valued members, guests, and staff, ensuring a warm welcome before they embark on their dining journey. Your key responsibilities will include greeting guests, managing incoming calls, and orchestrating reservations for our Club and food & beverage operations. The ideal Host possesses exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills, fostering a positive atmosphere from the moment guests arrive until their departure. You will also be committed to providing outstanding service through professionalism and efficiency.
As a successful Host, you may have the opportunity to train fellow reception team members on the processes and service standards that define Soho House. Mastery of our phone systems, a friendly demeanor, and attention to detail in managing reservations will be crucial to your success.
Main Responsibilities:
- Welcome every member and guest by name (if applicable) and ensure new guests feel embraced in a hospitable environment.
- Handle high-volume phone lines, confidently addressing inquiries about menus, operating hours, amenity availability, and making reservations for restaurants, rooftop, cinema, and more.
- Create reservations and assist Food & Beverage Managers on the floor to uphold service standards.
- Ensure all calls and interactions are punctuated with friendliness, accuracy, and discretion.
- Collaborate with the reception team to maintain excellent service and manage expectations effectively.
- Build and nurture relationships with members and guests, reporting feedback to management.
- Foster a fun, positive atmosphere through approachability and professionalism.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager.
